Second Saturday Art Walk
On the second Saturday of each month, galleries in Sacramento stay open for a Sacramento Art Walk late into the evening, allowing people to walk from gallery to gallery, viewing, experiencing and discovering local art galleries and meeting artists.

Broadway Sacramento
The brilliance of Broadway revisits Sacramento. The Broadway Series offers the glitter, excitement, theatricality and even the stars of Broadway. The 2007-08 Broadway Series is packed with popular, critically acclaimed musicals, including “Jersey Boys”, “Whistle Down the Wind”, “Riverdance”, “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee”, “Mamma Mia” and “The Phantom of the Opera”.

Empyrean Ensemble at Mondavi Center
The extraordinary players of the Empyrean Ensemble celebrate 20 years of making modern music in 2007–08. Join co-directors Laurie San Martin and Kurt Rohde for a thrilling season of the new, the engaging, the invigorating and the insightful.

Exhibit at Asylum Gallery
Asylum Gallery, located inside HQ, 1713 25th St. (25th & R Sts) in Midtown Sacramento presents the three best artists from the National Juried Print Show. The show features both contemporary print making and traditional painting.
There is a Second Saturday reception scheduled for May 10th from 6 to 9 pm. Gallery hours are Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4 pm (except for 2nd Sat) or by appointment by calling 916-804-6095.
Rowing Events at Lake Natoma
The Sacramento State Aquatic Center will have six major rowing regattas this year at Lake Natoma in Gold River, California.

Friday Night Concerts in the Park
This free outdoor concert series, which runs May - August, is the hottest summer spot for Friday nights downtown. The shows feature local artists, representing several music genres including rock, pop, blues and folk. Music addicts and happy hour junkies fill up Cesar Chavez Plaza at 10th and J streets to enjoy live music, fresh air, good food, and the famous beer garden. Admission is FREE to this all ages show!
