As the Tourism Marketing Manager, Heather is the newest member of the Marketing Team at the SCVB. Her primary role involves executing marketing efforts for tourism and consumer travel and managing the integration of the overall brand strategy. Her duties include media buying, collateral development, management of the "Discover Gold" program and trade show support.
A recent transplant to the Sacramento area, Heather moved from the Napa Valley where she worked in the wine industry for over five years. Heather began her career in the wine industry in 2001 and worked for three years at Niebaum-Coppola winery in Rutherford, CA as the Brand Manager for the "Francis Ford Coppola Presents" and "Francis Coppola Diamond Collection" wines, along with the launch of the "Sofia" sparkling line of products.
Prior to her wine marketing career Heather worked as a series 7 registered stock broker and as a Public Relations Associate for a boutique public relations firm in San Diego. Heather received her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of San Diego in 1999. A native of Marin Country, Heather enjoys the outdoors, spending time at the beach, traveling and visiting friends and family - all with her Yorkie, Kobe in tow.
